Elphin Productions was created in memory of Myra Howells by actor Robert Rees to produce the critically acclaimed production of Beirut by Alan Bowne, directed by Robin Lefevre at the Park Theatre.

Most recently, Elphin created and co-produced the smash-hit Cinderella at the King’s Head Theatre, featuring the voices of Dame Judi Dench, Miriam Margolyes, and Su Pollard, with RuPaul’s Drag Race star Ella Vaday leading the cast. The success of Cinderella significantly increased footfall at the new 200 seat venue, positioning it as a vibrant cultural hub. It has firmly established the theatre as a key destination for Christmas family entertainment.

In 2022, Robert launched and co-produced the podcast series Acting for Others Presents, which united some of the UK’s most celebrated performers—Dame Judi Dench, David Tennant, Olly Alexander, Paapa Essiedu, Sir Derek Jacobi, Miriam Margolyes, Noma Dumezweni, Golda Rosheuvel, Dame Eileen Atkins, Adjoa Andoh, Christopher Biggins, and Su Pollard—in support of theatre workers in need. The series was named The Guardian’s “Pick of the Week” and featured in The Sunday Times’ list of “29 Podcasts to Make You Happy.”
